| June 8 Popular NPR Show "From the Top" tapes broadcast with Boston Pops "From the Top", the preeminent showcase for young musicians heard weekly on 99.5 FM All Classical, teams up with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops on Tuesday, June 8 at 8pm for a live broadcast taping, commemorating From the Top’s ten years on the air. The NPR taping hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O'Riley will feature the amazing performances and captivating personal stories of extraordinary young classical musicians from across the country. Young performers to be featured on the broadcast taping include 17-year-old composer Jeremiah Klarman from Chestnut Hill, MA. His Symphony No. 1 in C Minor will receive its broadcast premiere by the Pops orchestra. Also included is 9-year-old pianist Umi Garrett from Aliso Viejo, California performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, 16year-old champion accordionist Michael Bridge from Alberta, Canada performing the virtusoic Czárdás by Monti on bayan, Gabriel Cabezas, a 17-year-old cellist, who recently collaborated with Yo Yo Ma on “Good Morning America”, performing Shostakovich, and 17-year-old violinist Michelle Lee from Dublin, California performing Kreisler. | Video Podcast:"From the Top" at Pops
